I have a spearmint plant in my garden that has now grown to 16 square feet. It is a weed of a plant. So, I am always looking for good recipes that involve spearmint. One can only drink so much spearmint tea. One of my favorites summertime drinks is a good Mint Julep. So, I wanted to pass on a recipe for it.
2 oz of Burbon whiskey
4 sprigs of mint
1 tsp powdered sugar
2 tsps of water.
Muddle your spearmint sugar, and water in a Collins style glass. Fill the glass with crushed ice, then add your burbon. Stir with a tea style spoon. The place a spearmint leaf on top for decoration.
Enjoy
